Died: January 7, 2016

Walter “Bub” Sheldon, age 68, of Osage, died Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday January 13, 2016, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Gary Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home.

Walter “Bub” Sheldon was born January 28, 1947, in Osage, Iowa, the son of Walter W. and Alzina (Adams) Sheldon. He attended Osage schools. On July 16, 1965, Bub married Sharon Conrad at the First United Methodist Church in Osage. He worked for L.R. Falk Construction, retiring in 2012. Bub enjoyed all types of games, and especially enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes.

Bub is survived by his wife, Sharon Sheldon of Osage; brothers, Gary (Vi) Sheldon of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Allyn (Darlene) Sheldon of Osage; brothers-in-law, Howard “Pete” Shaw of Osage, and Gene Squier of Riceville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sharon Shaw and Jo Ann Squier; and three nephews.
