ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Ryan Robert Rosenberg, 31, of St. Ansgar, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.

Ryan R. Rosenberg was born January 17, 1984, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Jeff Rosenberg and Mary (Duponcheele) Rosenberg. He attended and graduated from St. Ansgar Community School. Growing up Ryan enjoyed living on the farm, helping with field work, and driving tractors. He helped his uncle Richard and others when needed. He enjoyed being around his friends and was often the life of the party.

On June 23, 2004, he became a father to Mikayla. He spent a lot of time with her watching movies, playing video games, helping her with homework and school projects, and recently decorating the family Christmas tree together. Ryan was involved in a ATV accident in October 2008, which left him paralyzed from the chest down. He still tried to be independent and just wanted to live a normal life. Which often left him very unhappy.

Ryan will be greatly missed by his parents, Mary Rosenberg of St. Ansgar, and Jeff Rosenberg (Kris) of Grafton; a daughter Mikayla Rosenberg of St. Ansgar; a sister, Mindy Crooks (Ryan) of Mason City; nieces: Kaley, Kelsy, and Kylee Crooks; grandmothers, Erma Duponcheele of Stacyville, and Phyllis Norby of Osage; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Duponcheele, Robert Rosenberg, and step-grandfather Harvey Norby.
