Lucille Lydia (Pahl) Brandt – December 15, 1924 – March 13, 2013

Lucille L. Brandt, age 88 of Austin, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Lucille Lydia Pahl was born December 15, 1924 in Worth County Iowa to Rudolph and Emma (Jordan) Pahl. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith in Grafton, Iowa and later confirmed in St. Ansgar, Iowa. Lucille was educated in the rural schools of north Iowa, graduating from St. Ansgar High School in 1942. On June 14, 1942, she married Robert C. Brandt. The couple moved to Austin in 1945, where Lucille was employed by the J.C. Penney Company and St. Mark's Lutheran Home. She retired in 1987. Lucille enjoyed spending her time with family, as well as traveling and working with flowers.

Survivors include her children Jean (Arnie) Skogebo of Rochester, MN, Dick (Kris) Brandt of Fridley, MN, Roger (Mary) Brandt of Palisade, MN, Larry (Denise) Brandt of Lino Lakes, MN; grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Emma Pahl, her husband Robert Brandt, her son Donald Brandt, great grandson Brady Proudfoot, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor David Fleischmann officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
