MRS. BLANCHE HUBBARD
Blanche McFall was born in Ontario, Canada, September 21, 1874, and passed away at St. Joseph's hospital, New Hampton, Iowa, on July 29, 1943, at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 8 days.
Blanche, daughter of James and Anna McFall moved to Iowa when a small girl. In 1891 she was united in marriage to Charles Kendall. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Vella Parker of San Leandro, California.
In 1913 she was married to Wm. Hubbard and moved to Riceville, Iowa, where she resided at the time of her death. Mrs. Hubbard was united with the Methodist church of Riceville, and was a member of the O.E.S. of that city.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Wm. Hubbard; one daughter, Mrs. Vella Parker; and three stepchildren: Mrs. Gladys Marr, Riceville, Miss Lucille Yager, Cedar Rapids, and Stanley Hubbard, Burlington, Iowa; also three sisters: Mrs. Nellie Channey, Garnet, Idaho, Mrs. Janie Ryall, Farmington, Michigan, and Mrs. Della Salmon, Canada; also four brothers: James McFall of Bemidji, Minnesota, Russell McFall, Edmonton, Canada, Bruce McFall, Washington, and Roy McFall, of Vancouver, Washington.
Final rites at the grave were performed by Mt. Horeb Chapter 163 O.E.S. of Fredericksburg and how appropriately too, for Mrs. Hubbard was a charter member of this chapter, and had belonged to this organization for 49 years. She indeed learned a lesson of the Order, as she was faithful to the conviction of right, and she was obedient to demands of honor in her stations, as she loved kindred and friends, and in affliction evinced a trustful faith, and as she lived in the spirit of charity and love of truth, surely great shall be her reward.
