Jesse Meech – August 17, 1884 – June 12, 1948
JESSE MEECH, RICEVILLE IOWA, PASSES AT SEBEKA
Jesse Meech of Riceville, Iowa, who had been visiting with relatives at Sebeka, passed away at Wesley Hospital here on Saturday, June 12. He was 63.
He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on August 17, 1884. At the age of 11 he moved with his parents and one older brother to Logan, Kansas. Later the family moved to Riceville, Iowa, which had since been his home.
Surviving are one brother and one sister, 15 nieces and nephews. One brother, Frank Meech, and his parents, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Wadena, with the Rev. Leon Eastman officiating. Mrs. Oscar Sorum and Helen Verwey sang three selections, “Jesus, Lover of my soul”, “In the Garden,” and “The Christians Goodbye,” with Mrs. Janette Verwey at the piano.
The remains were taken to Riceville for interment.
