MASON CITY, IOWA - Margaret M. Finch, 90, and formerly of Carpenter, Iowa, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Mason City.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, with the Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in Newburg Cemetery, Carpenter.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, Iowa, with Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in Newburg Cemetery, Carpenter, Iowa.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret was born on July 12, 1924 in Bolan, Iowa, to Walter and Anna (Diedrich) Hollatz. She was baptized August 17, 1924 and confirmed March 17, 1940 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, Iowa. She attended schools in the Bolan-Grafton area. Margaret married Russell Finch on August 11, 1946 in St. Ansgar, Iowa. They lived in the Carpenter area all their married life. She was a member of the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, WELCA, Red Hats and the Carpenter Commercial Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; son, Dennis; grandson, Travis Keough; great grandson, Jimmy Byrne.
Margaret is survived by two daughters; Nancy (Terry) Keough of Mason City and Rita (Roger) Luther of Rock Falls, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Janice Finch of Carpenter; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Mary) Hollatz of Mason City.
