WATERLOO, IOWA - Isabelle Marie Soteros, 88, of Holts Summit, Missouri, and formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in Holts Summit.
She was born November 12, 1925, in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Guy and Margaret Saucers Brunson.
Isabelle worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp. until 1988, retiring after 35 years of service. She also had worked as a greeter at Walmart in Waterloo, and after moving to central Missouri worked for United Security Bank, Fulton.
Survived by a daughter, Toni (Walter) Schubert of Holts Summit; four grandchildren, Kurt (Katrinia) Schubert, Anna Anderson, Katie Bartels and Tony Bartels; six great-grandchildren, Zack Barnett, Isabelle "Bella” Frese, Tyler (Jenna) Schubert, Austin Schubert, Makenzie Schubert and Elijah Sherwood; two great-great-grandchildren, Liv and Declan Schubert; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Joe Shafer; a son, Sam Soteros; a daughter, Diane Bartels; a sister, Helen Ledtje; and a niece, Cynthia Cunningham.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice Compassus, 600 Monroe St., Jefferson City, Mo 65101.
Isabelle loved being with her family, grandchildren and her friends. She loved her trips back to Waterloo, and loved to winter in Florida at The Villages.
