Martin B. Olson was born April 24, 1867, rural Rudd township, Floyd, Iowa, to Knud Olson and Maria Olsdatter Maafaa.
Martin's name appears in the 1873 Rock Creek Lutheran Church Membership list.
He married Martha Marie Gulbrandsen on November 8, 1894, at Rock Creek Lutheran, Meroa, Iowa.
The couple had seven children, the first six being born at rural Rudd, Floyd, Iowa. They were: Allert Burnette Gilman Olson (b March 13, 1896, d April 11, 1976 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa);
Melvin Arthur (born and died February 20, 1897);
Mabel Olga (b May 26, 1898, d February 23, 2000 St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa);
Alfred Hans (born and died July 18, 1899);
Myron Alfred (b January 14, 1902, d October 12, 1999 Minneapolis, Minnesota);
Louella Theoline (b January 24, 1903, d September 1, 2004 Atkinson, Holt, Nebraska) and
Roy Herbert (b May 2, 1911 Burr Oak, Mitchell, Iowa, d February 25, 2001 Yucca Valley, San Bernardino, California.
Found in the 1900 - 1905 censuses living on a farm at rural Rudd, Floyd, Iowa:
1900: Martin Olson 33, Martha M Olson 23, Allet B G Olson 4, Mabel O Olson 2, Carl A Halverson 20.
1905: Martin Olson age 38.
Found in the 1910 - 1920 censuses at Burr Oak, Mitchell, Iowa:
1910: Martin B Olson 43, Martha Marie Gulbrandsen Olson 33, Allert Burnette Gilman Olson 14, Mable Olson 12, Myron Olson 8, Luelda Olson 7.
1915: Martin B Olson age 48.
1920: Martin B Olson 53, Martha Olson 43,Albert G Olson 23, Mabel O Olson 21, Myron Olson 17, Luella Olson 16, Roy Olson 8.
Found in the 1925 - 1930 censuses at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:
1925: Martin B Olson 58, Martha Olson 49, Ray Olson 13.
1930: Martin B Olson 61, Martha M Olson 53, Myron A Olson 27, Roy H Olson 18. Running an auto dealership.
Martin B Olson died October 15, 1933 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa and was buried at Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
There is a memorial for him at Find a Grave #55509822.
