Inger Olson (Olsdatter) was born March 19, 1848 at Malmo, Sweden to Ole Peterson and Karen Johnson.
In 1878, she emigrated to America and settled in Mitchell County, Iowa.
Inger married Ole Pedersen Fjelde (later spelled Field) (b January 1, 1855 Strand, Rogaland, Norway, d August 23, 1941 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa) on November 10, 1880 at the First Lutheran Church at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.
The couple had 4 children who were all born on the family farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
Oscar Olesen (b February 9, 1882, d April 11, 1953 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa);
Peter (b December 7, 1883, d November 6, 1969 Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa);
Martin P (b August 31, 1885, d October 12, 1952 Mason City, Iowa) and
Carl (b August 13, 1887, d January 19, 1979 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa).
Found in the 1885 - 1930 censuses living on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1885: Oley P Tjelde 32, Inger Tjelde 23, Oscar Tjelde 3, Peter Tjelde 1.1900: Ole P Fjelde 45, Inger Fjelde 52, Oscar Fjelde 18, Peder Fjelde 16, Martin Fjelde 14, Karl Fjelde 12.
1910: Ole Peder Fjelde 53[55], Inga Fjelde 52, Peter Fjelde 26, Martin Fjelde 24.
1920: Martin Field 34, Emily K Field 34, Peter Field 36, Oleo P Fjelde 65, Inger Fjelde 71.
1925: Ole P Fjield (Field) 70, Jordar Fjield (Inger Field) 76.
1930: Ole P Field 75, Inger Field 82.

"Mr and Mrs Field Celebrate Wedding Anniversary":Mr and Mrs Ole Pedersen Field celebrated their golden wedding anniversary when they were guests at a dinner at the home of their son and daughter in law, Mr & Mrs Oscar Field, north of Nora Springs. Yellow chrysanthemums, golden bells and baskets of roses were used throughout the rooms. The wedding cake was a gift of their granddaughter, Mrs Alvin Christiansen.
The Rev and Mrs S M Stenby of Clear Lake were present and the Rev gave a brief talk and presented a number of gifts to the couple. Mr and Mrs Lewis Field and Mrs Bertha Rolla of Manly were among the guests.
Mr & Mrs Field were married in 1880 in St Ansgar by the Rev. John Olson. They have four sons who were present at the affair. The remainder of the time was spent informally.
Inger Field died October 4, 1938 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
There is a memorial for her at Find a Grave # 56658017 with photos of her and her gravestone.
