(Died March 1, 2015)

Larry Dean Heimer, age 57, of St. Ansgar, Iowa,died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center Emergency Room in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Dr. Donna Ihns officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home. Following services, cremation will take place.

Larry was born October 30, 1957, in Osage, Iowa, the son of Melvin and Shirley (Brown) Heimer. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic church. Larry attended St. Ansgar High School and furthered his education as a Master Class A Electrician. He worked at Absolute Energy and Klapperich Farm Systems. Larry enjoyed turtle hunting and playing cards. He loved his family and friends. Larry always had a big smile and would do anything for anyone. He will be deeply missed by many.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Nate) Kruse of St. Ansgar; grandchildren, Brenna, Reese and Kylee Kruse of St. Ansgar; brothers and sister, Thomas (Sandy) Heimer of Crystal Lake, Jim (Tess) Heimer of St. Paul, Minnesota, Mary (Dennis) Hanson of St. Ansgar, and Mark (Penny) Heimer of Stacyville; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Les and Linda Mausenhund of Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Michael.
