Henry Lawrence Olsen (also found as Lawrence Henry) was born June 21, 1891 at Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa, to Levi Oscar Olsen and Karina Halvorsdatter Brenden, the first of their four children.
Found in the 1895 - 1910 censuses living on a farm at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa:
1895: Lawrence Olsen age 3.
1900: Levi O Olson 34, Carrie Olson 30, Henry L Olson 8, Irvin J Olson 7, Pearl I Olson 3/12
1910: Levi O Olson 44, Carrie Olson 40, Henry L Olson 18, Erving J Olson 17, Perl J Olson 10, Lillie C Olson 2.
Lawrence married Olga Amanda Krogstad on November 20, 1912 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
The couple had 4 children:
Candace Calma (b September 3, 1913, d August 21, 1985 Stacyville, Mitchell, Iowa);
Muriel Naomi (1915 - 2006),
Leon Krogstad (1918 - 1996) and
Phyllis.
Found in the 1920 census at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa: Lawrence H Olsen 28, Olga Olsen 28, Candace Olsen 6, Muriel Olsen 4 yrs, 3 mos, Leon Olsen 1 yr 6 mos, Theodore Finsand 28.
1927 - 1930: Appears in the Waterloo, Iowa City Directory
1942 - 1946: Appears in the Burbank, California City Directories with his wife. Working as a carpenter.
Lawrence H Olsen died December 28, 1964 at San Bernardino, California. Could not find his burial location.
