Levi Oscar Olsen was born March 11, 1866 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Levor Olson Lindelien and Ingeborg Olsdatter Uhlen, the fourth of their eleven children.

Levi was baptized on June 3, 1866 at the First Lutheran Church at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa. He was confirmed on April 24, 1881 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1870 - 1885 censuses at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1870: Levi Oleson 45, Isabel Oleson 36, Lewis Oleson 9, John Oleson 6, Oscar Oleson 4, Torena Oleson 1, Ole Hawlson 57, Jane Hawlson 77.

1880: Levi Olieson 55, Isabel Olieson 44, Lars Olieson 19, Johann Olieson 16, Oscar Olieson 14, Thorine Olieson 11, Peter Olieson 9, Isabel Olieson 4, Anna Olieson 2, Ole Harleson 67, Gertrude Harleson 88, Gabriel Frederickson 20, Hans Strange 20, Julia Johnson 18, Occupation: Farmer.

1885: Oscar Olson age 19.

Levi married Karine Halvorsdatter Brenden on January 2, 1890 at Green, Wisconsin.

The couple had 4 children:
Henry Lawrence (b June 21, 1891 Rock, Mitchell, Iowa, d December 28, 1964 San Bernardino, California);

Irvin Julius (b November 26, 1892 Mitchell Co, Iowa, d August 1974 same);

Pearl Irene (b February 6, 1900 Rock, Mitchell, Iowa, d January 6, 1986 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa) and

Lillian Carina (b December 11, 1907 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, d March 3, 2000 Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa).

Found in the 1895 - 1910 censuses at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa:
1895: Levi Oscar Olsen age 28.

1900: Levi O Olson 34, Carrie Olson 30, Henry L Olson 8, Irvin J Olson 7, Pearl I Olson 3/12

1910: Levi O Olson 44, Carrie Olson 40, Henry L Olson 18, Erving J Olson 17, Perl J Olson 10, Lillie C Olson 2.

Found in the 1920 census at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa: O L Olsen 53, Carrie Olsen 49, Pearl Olsen 19, Lillian Olsen 12. Levi and Carrie (Karina) operated a cafe while they lived in Osage.

Levi Olsen died April 3, 1922 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, and was buried at Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

There is a memorial for him at Find a Grave #65939016.

Note: Found surname spelled various ways, not sure which is correct, Olsen or Olson.
