HERBERT PETERSON,
89, DIED THURSDAY
Mr. Herbert John Peterson, 89, died Thursday morning at the Ostrander Nursing Home at Ostrander, Minnesota.
The former Herbert Peterson was born on September 27, 1893, in Mitchell County, Iowa. He had lived in the LeRoy area all his life. On November 29, 1917, near Adams, Minnesota, he was married to Christina Erie, who preceded him in death on May 5, 1978. Of this union were born one son and three daughters.
Survivors include one son, Harold of LeRoy; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Muriel) Plasters of Stella, Nebraska; and Mrs. Harlan (Maxine) Epland of Dubuque, Iowa; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Peterson of Alden, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, and one sister.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 18, 1983, at the LeRoy Lutheran Church, with Rev. Duane Hanson officiating. Mrs. O. C. Satre was the organist with Mrs. Ted Maage the soloist.
Interment was in the LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery. Casket bearers were: David Epland, Willis Erie, Arthur Jacobson, Raymond Jacobson, Elmer Kling and Kewnneth Nelson.
Arrangements were with the Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy.
