Leo Everett Ogden was born December 10, 1920 at Mitchell County, Iowa to Marnie Nelson and John Ogden.
Found in the 1925, 1930 censuses at Otranto, Mitchell, Iowa;
1925: John F Ogden 41, Marnie Ogden 25, Leo E Ogden 4, Jaice M Ogden 1.
1930: (Mona, Iowa) John F Ogden 46, Mamie Ogden 30, Leo Ogden 9, Joyce Ogden 6, Ardene Ogden 3 yrs 1 mo.
Found in the 1940 census at Carpenter, Mitchell, Iowa: Leo Ogden age 19. Single, working as a laborer and renting a room.
Leo married Irene J Snyder in April of 1942 at Winona, Minnesota.
The couple had 3 children:
Deborah (b September 12, 1946 Osage, Iowa, d April 9, 2010 Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa);
Richard (Dick) Earl (b June 30, 1949 Osage, Iowa, d August 16, 1972 Rice, Minnesota) and
Daniel Joseph (still living in 2015).
Leo worked with a tiling crew.
He died June 12, 1988 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. His funeral was officiated by the Rev. Neshiem. His pall bearers were: Marvin Arp, LaVerne Olsen, Ric Lancaster, Paul Schmidt, Kevin Pitzen, and Ralph Brandt. Leo was buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
