Clara Bertina Nelson was born November 25, 1879 at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa to Erick Thorgimsen Dynna Nelson and Inger Emelja Syverud, the oldest of their 9 children.
Clara married Otto Gaylord Levorsen on June 12, 1901 at Rock Creek Lutheran, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had 9 children.

Clara Levorsen died June 6, 1951 at Lamoni, Decatur, Iowa and was buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa.

Mason City Globe Gazette Friday June 8, 1951 Obituary:
Osage - A former Osage resident, Mrs. Clara Leverson, 71, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roberts, at Lamoni. Mrs. Leverson was born and reared in the Rock Creek community.
Survivors include 6 sons; 3 daughters; and two brothers and sisters in the Osage community. They are; Mrs. Ted Christenson; Mrs. Gus Krogstad; Carl Nelson; and Theodore Nelson.
Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lamoni.
