Memorial services for Everest Nicol, 80, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, with Rev. D. Presher officiating. The body was donated to the University of Iowa in Iowa city. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Nicol, a lifelong Osage-area resident, died on Thursday, February 10, 1983, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City.

He was born on the Nicol farm, on January 27, 1903. Lorretta Belle Hutton of Osage and Everest Nicol were married on March 30, 1930 in Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and by two brothers, Stanley and Billy.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bud (Celene) Eliason, Nora Springs, and Mrs. Walt (Roine) Campbell, Pittsburg, Penna.; two sons, Max, of Osage, and Terrill, of Mesa, Arizona; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert, of Des Moines.
