Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 26, 1983, at the crane Community Chapel, Austin, Minnesota, for Laurence Charles Priem, age 70, who passed away Saturday, January 22, 1983, of a heart attack, at St. Olaf Hospital, Austin, Minnesota. Rev. J. Matt officiated at the service, with burial in the Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, Minnesota. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin was in charge of arrangements.
Laurence Charles Priem, the son of Fred J. and Isabel M. (Swain) Priem, was born on June 19, 1912, in Otranto township, Mitchell County, Iowa. He attended school at Otranto and graduated from high school there in 1930.
He was united in marriage to Marvel Nason of Austin, Minnesota, on August 9, 1969.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Rohden Priem; a sister, Mae Schroeder; and a brother, Harvey Priem.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Donald L. Priem of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters,
Rosalie Rush of Osage and Barbara Olsen of Albert Lea, Minnesota; one step-daughter, Mary Jacobson of Duluth, Minnesota; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Duenow of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Ruth Robertson of St. Ansgar.
