Funeral services were held on Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Minnie Hein, 90, who died Friday, January 14, 1983, at Faith Home. Rev. J. Nesheim officiated at the service and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Minnie Elizabeth Hein, the daughter of Edward and Vallie Groff, was born at Meyerstown, Pennsylvania, on December 8, 1892. She was baptized at the Lutheran Church in Zion Lebanon, Pennsylvania and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Dunkerton.

Minnie Groff and William Hein were married on December 14, 1911. They farmed in Bennington Township, Dunkerton, until March of 1916 when they moved to the New Haven area, where they farmed until 1951, when they moved to Osage. Minnie had lived at Faith Home for the past two years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and three brothers.

Mrs. Hein is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Gladys) Eagen, Rochester, Minnesota; one son, Edwin of Osage; one brother, Ed Groff, New Haven; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
