Janet (Jeanette) Joy Maakestad was born September 8, 1935 at Mitchell County, Iowa to Peter Leonard Maakestad and Josephine Mostek, the first of their three children.
Found in the 1940 census living on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa: Leonard Maakestad 34, Josephine Maakestad 25, Jeanette Maakestad 4, Lowell Maakestad 3, Franklin Maakestad 1.
Janet graduated from the Mitchell High School in 1854. She was married twice. First to to Donald E Hastings. Next to Floyd Sigler. She had 4 children.
Janet Sigler died April 2, 1994 at Rochester, Olmsted, Minnesota and is buried at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mitchell, Mitchell, Iowa.
There is a Memorial for her at FindaGrave #21850555 with photos.
