STACYVILLE, IOWA - Gervin Leo Halbach, 69, of Stacyville, died Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the V.A. Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with Rev. Raymond Burkle officiating.
Burial will be in the Visitation Cemetery.
Visitation with family will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Visitation Catholic Church.

Visitation with family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Visitation Catholic Church.
Gervin Leo was born on June 14, 1945 to Hildegard (Klapperich) and Ronald Halbach. He graduated from Visitation High School. After serving in the Marine Corps, he spent most of his life in the Stacyville area where he was actively involved in the church and community.
He is survivored by three brothers: Neil (Sharon), Floyd (Anne), and Kent (Eva); and by five sisters: Sr. Janice, Joanne, Rosanne Maier (Dick), Marilyn Turner (Gene) and Julie Dolmovich (Bruce); six nephews; 12 nieces; one great-nephew and seven great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bruce.
