Michael Joseph Pickar 1951-1996
Funeral services for Michael Pickar of Austin, Minnesota, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 1996, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Austin. Father Jack Kraugh officiated. Interment was in Calvery Cemetery in Elma, Iowa, with Mayer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He died on Thursday, October 31, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, after a long illness.
Michael Joseph Pickar was born June 22, 1951, at Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Ann (Spradling)
Pickar. He graduated from Crestwood High School in Cresco.
He is survived by his children, Ryan Pickar and Carolyn Pickar, both of Austin; their mother, Janet; four brothers: John of Cresco; Randy of Osage; Kenneth of Britt, Iowa, and Alan of Belle Plaine, Minnesota; and one sister, Catherine Knowles of Manly, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
