Peter Bastian Larson was born November 5, 1864 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Bastian Eide Larson and Anna Pedersdatter Nordhus, the fifth of their nine children.
Peter was baptized in 1864 at the newly constructed Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Peter, Nick Johnson, a Mrs Carlson and two babies were among the first to be baptized at the church by Rev. Claus Clausen who came from St Ansgar, Iowa to officiate. Peter was confirmed at RCLC on April 29, 1879.
He married Breta Helen Johnson on February 27, 1906 at the bride's parents' home in Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had three children: John Bastian, Mary Annabel and Philip Harold.
