Peder Johanson Johnsrud was born October 27, 1872 on a farm at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to John Olsen Johnsrud and Kari Olsdatter Lindelien.
He was baptized on December 1, 1872 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. He was confirmed also at RCLC on June 5, 1887.
Found in the 1880 - 1895 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1880: John Oleson 50, Carrie Oleson 51, Carrie Oleson 18, Anna Oleson 13, John Oleson 11, Ole Oleson 9, Peter Oleson 7.
1895: P G Jonsrude age 22.
Peder moved with his parents to Minnesota. He married Clara Theoline Braaten on July 30, 1898 at Fertile, Polk, Minnesota. (Clara b 1877 Wisconsin, d August 27, 1929 Grand Forks, North Dakota).
The couple had these children:
Velma Karine Johnsrud (b 1899 - 1966);
Wallace Jasper Johnsrud (b 1902 - 1993);
Palmer Johnsrud (b 1903 - 1905) ;
Emore Oliver Johnsrud (1905 - 1995);
Pearl Catherine Johnsrud (1907 - 1974);
Irene Vivian Johnsrud (b September 24, 1909 - January 5, 1911 Find A Grave Memorial# 28468381 );
Williard Johnsrud (1910 or 1912 - 1912)
Found in the 1900 census living at Fertile, Polk, Minnesota: Peder Jonsrude 27, Klara Jonsrude 22, Velma Korin Jonsrude 10/12, Eagle David 19.
Found in the 1920, 1925 censuses at Dewey, Walsh, North Dakota:
1920: Peter J Johnsrud 47, Clara Johnsrud 42, Velma Johnsrud 20, Valice Johnsrud 18, Emone Johnsrud 15, Pearly Johnsrud 12.
1925: Peter J Johnsrud age 52.
Found in the 1930 census at Alsen, Cavelier, North Dakota: Peter J Johnsrud 57, Clara Johnsrud 53, Walace J Johnsrud 28, Pearl K Johnsrud 23.
Found in the 1940 census at Edmore, Ramsey, North Dakota: Peter J Johnsrud 67, Clara Johnsrud 62.
Peder (Peter) died May 1, 1955 at Fairdale, Walsh, North Dakota. Could not locate his burial site.
