Olive Adelia Johnson was born October 18, 1888 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Lars Helgesen Johnson and Ingeborg Andrea Tollefsen, the youngest of their four daughters. She also had three half-siblings, two sisters and a brother.

1895: Olive Johnson age 6.1900: Lars H Johnson 65, Andrina I Johnson 51, Ole J Johnson 28, Helen B Johnson 22, Estelle C Johnson 20, Clara L Johnson 18, Olive A Johnson 11.
Olive married Lester Wilson Howe on December 2, 1909 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
The couple had 6 children:
Louis Everett (1910-1996);
Harold Johnson (1912-1963);
Everett John (1915-1915);
Jeanette Isabel (1917-2011);
Clara Louise (1920-1994) and
