Olive Adelia Johnson was born October 18, 1888 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Lars Helgesen Johnson and Ingeborg Andrea Tollefsen, the youngest of their four daughters. She also had three half-siblings, two sisters and a brother.
Found in the 1895 - 1900 censuses at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1895: Olive Johnson age 6.
1900: Lars H Johnson 65, Andrina I Johnson 51, Ole J Johnson 28, Helen B Johnson 22, Estelle C Johnson 20, Clara L Johnson 18, Olive A Johnson 11.
Olive married Lester Wilson Howe on December 2, 1909 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
The couple had 6 children:
Louis Everett (1910-1996);
Harold Johnson (1912-1963);
Everett John (1915-1915);
Jeanette Isabel (1917-2011);
Clara Louise (1920-1994) and
Kenneth Lester (1920- June 1, 1941 Osage, Iowa).

1911: Married L.W. Howe and was living on Section 28, East Cedar Township, Mitchell Co., Iowa. ( from Mitchell Co. Atlas, Sec. 2, page 19.)
1920: Lester W Howe 32, Olive J Howe 31, Louis E Howe 9, Harold J Howe 7, Jennet I Howe 2 yrs 9 mos.
Found in the 1925, 1930 censuses at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa: 1925: Widowed. Mrs. Olive Howe 36, Louis Howe 14, Harold J Howe 12, Jennette Howe 7, Kenneth Howe 4, Clara Howe 4.
1930: Olive Howe 41, Louis Howe 19, Harold Howe 17, Jeanette Howe 13, Clara Howe 10, Kenneth Howe 10, Belle Johnson 81
Found in the 1940 census at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa: Olive Howe 51, Kenneth Howe 20, Everett J Howe 71.
Olive died May 14, 1976 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
