Lewis (Louis, Lars) Adolph Jensen was born May 21, 1869 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Jens Jensen and Mari Olsdatter, the youngest of their ten children.
Louis was baptized on August 8, 1869 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
He had 4 older half-siblings who were all born in Norway: Berthe (b 1838); Jens (b 1841); Lars (b 1843) and Peder (b 1845).
He also had 9 older full siblings (five oldest born at LaSalle, Illinois, next 4 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa):
Martin James (b 1852); Ole Berner (b 1854); Lars (b 1855); Peter Jens (b 1857); Bertha Marie (b 1859); Jens (b 1861); Jens Bertinius (b 1862); Rachel Eliana (b 1864) and Jens Adolph (b 1867). Lewis was named after his half-brother who died earlier in the same year he was born (1869)

1880: Jens Jenson 65, Mary Jenson 52, Peder Jenson 22, Bertinius Jenson 18, Ellianne Jenson 16, Lars Jenson 11.
1885: Jens Jenson age 70, Marie Jenson age 55, Lars A Jenson age 15.Louis married Mary Sheldon on July 17, 1891 at Winnebago, Iowa. The couple had 5 children: Marcellus, Christine, Lydia, Rachel and Constance. Besides farming, Louis obtained an education and became a prominent attorney at Forest City with his own law firm.

Louis Adolph Jensen died in 1941 at Forest City, Winnebago, Iowa and was buried at the Oakland Cemetery, Forest City, Winnebago, Iowa.
