TAKEN BY DEATHFuneral rites for an Osage woman, Meta Muller, 72, who died January 12, at the White House of Osage, were held Thursday afternoon. Miss Muller had been in failing health for several months.
Rev. K. Belk, pastor, was in charge of the rites at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Township. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery and arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.
Meta Erna Muller was born in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, on March 19, 1908, the daughter of Louis and Amelia Groetcke Muller. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church and remained a member there throughout her lifetime. She studied normal training while a student at Osage High School and at Iowa State Teacher's College (now the University of Northern Iowa) in Cedar Falls. She taught rural schools in this area and after receiving her degree in Cedar Falls, she taught public schools in Iowa and Minnesota. She also taught Sunday school for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers: Arnold, Fritz and Oscar Muller; two sisters, Elsie and Lucy Muller.
Surviving are one sister, Lucy Muller, also a resident of the White House. . . . (Missing).
