Carl Jensen was born December 24, 1876 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to parents Martin James Jensen and Maria C Hanson, the first of their nine children. Carl was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on February 11, 1877.
His younger siblings were: Matilda A; Clara Anara; Josephine Marie; Ellert; Melva S; Henry A; Jessie C and Guy A.
Carl's parents moved to Canby, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota between 1880 and 1883.
Carl Jensen died September 12, 1877 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa at Lot X3.
