Lorenzo Delbert Patterson

IS BURIED MONDAYJennings, Louisiana – Funeral services for Lorenzo Delbert Patterson, 94, pioneer Jennings resident, were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Evangelical United Brethren Church with Rev. Joh B. Morgan pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery with the Miquez Funeral Home in charge. He died Sunday at 2:20 p.m. at his home, 1002 North Lake Arthur Avenue, following a long illness.
Mr. Patterson was born in Riceville, Iowa, and had been a resident of Jennings for 74 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the EUB church.
He is survived by four sons: W. W. and Austin of Jennings; A. E. of Port Arthur, Texas, and Fred G Patterson of Sulphur; seven daughters: Mrs. P. R. Routon; Mrs. F. F. Leonard; and Misses Laura and Vera Patterson of Jennings; Mrs. A. E. Notestine of Welsh; Mrs. J. R. Trumps of Egan; and Mrs. H. P. Boudreaux of Houston, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

NOTES:Lorenzo Patterson was the son of Benjamin Patterson and Rachel (Tolley) Patterson. His parents and some siblings are buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Mitchell Co.. Iowa
He married Mary Esther Taylor.
