OF OSAGE DIED;
RITES MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday morning for Mrs. Casper Fox, 67, a prominent woman of the New Haven and Osage communities, who died Saturday as the result of a malignancy.

The funeal Mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven was concelebrated by Rev. P. Evans, church pastor, Msgr. T. Gannon of Dubuque, and Rev. D. Raftis, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage.

Arrangements were by Chisholm Funeral Home in Riceville, and burial was at St. Peter's cemetery, New Haven.

Bertha Elizabeth Kehoe was born in Floyd county, Iowa, on August 8, 1903, the daughter of William and Concordia Daly Kehoe. She was graduated from St. Mary's Academy in New Haven and taught rural school in Floyd county.

Casper Fox and Bertha Kehoe were married on May 16, 1932. They continued to farm south of New Haven until moving to their present home in Osage in August of this year.

Mrs. Fox was a member of the North American Benefit Association review 12, since 1927, and held many offices in this fraternal lodge, among them President and recording secretary; held offices at St. Peter's Altar Society; organized the parish history which is displayed in the church; was active on the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW), served on special Deanery committees, and held many offices including that of Diocesan treasurer. Mrs. Fox was active in the county 4-H organization and served as a 4-H leader. She was also active in the Farm Bureau Women's organization and for many years was a member of the Mother's club of St. Mary's school in New Haven.

Surviving are her husband, Casper, of Osage; a sister, Mrs. John Fox of New Haven; one brother, William Kehoe of Valley City, North Dakota; three daughters, Sister Bertha Mary Fox of Urbana, Illinois, Mrs. Don Janes (Janice) of Richardson, Texas, Mrs. Edward Dunn (Ellen) of Red Wing, Minnesota; a son, David Fox of New Haven; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel; her parents; two brothers, Patrick and Charles; and by two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Funte and Mrs. Maude Hoisington.
