OF ST. LOUIS DIED

Russell Knudson, 62, died Monday morning, November 29, 1971 at a St. Louis, Missouri, hospital after an illness of two years.

Russell Hugo Knudson was born on February 7, 1908, near Orchard, Iowa, the son of Carl and Olea Johnson Knudson. He attended schools in Orchard and Osage and graduated from Osage high school in 1926.

He worked in the accounting department of the Minneapolis and St. Louis railroad out of Minneapolis until February, 1941, when he entered the armed services. After serving for four years in Europe, he was employed as an accountant in St. Louis, Missouri, until two years ago, when his health failed.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; one daughter, Kari (Mrs. Tom Zipf) of Minneapolis, five grandchildren; one brother Ole Knudson, Rosemond, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Martin Wetter (Marcella) of Osage and Mrs. Gene Hardy (Jewell) of Kirksville, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Clyde, who died in 1940; and one sister, Mrs. Arnold Hackbart (Helen) who died in September, 1971.

Mr. Knudson willed his body to medical science and no services are being held.
