Elmer Cornelius Isaacs​ was born Ja​nuary 27,1895 on a farm in Ced​ar, Mitchell​, Iowa to R​ollef Isaaksen​ (Robert​ Isaacs) and J​ohanna ​Palm, the youngest of their seven children. Besides his older six siblings, he had five step-siblings.

Elmer married C​ora Gulbrandsdatter ​Horgen on February 23, 1916 at Osage, Mitc​hell,​ Iowa.

The couple had five children:
Garland Elmer (1917-1985);
Dorothy Mae (1921-1995);
Doris Marie [still living in 2014];
Robert Lowell (1926-1026;
Birchard C. (1927-1982).

Found in the 1900 - 1940 censuses at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: Nils A Isaac 22, Robert Isaac 70, Johana Isaac 49, Hannah C Isaac 18, Relph J Isaac 11, Clarence M Isaac 9, Almer K Isaac 5, Elisabeth Finsand 24, Nora J Finsand 3.

1905: Robert Isaacs, Johanna, Elizabeth, Ralph, Clarence, Elmer, Louis Sorensen, Norah Isaacs.

1910: Robert Isaacs 80, Johanna Palm Isaacs 59, Ralph Isaacs 20, Elizabeth Isaacs 34, Clarence Isaacs 19, Elmer Isaacs 16, Nora Finsand 13.

1915: Elmer Isaacs age 20.

1920: Elmer C Isaacs 24, Cora Isaacs 27, Garland E Isaacs 2, Nora J Finsend 22.

1925: Elmer C Isaacs 30, Cora Isaacs 31, Garland E Isaacs 7, Dorthy M Isaacs 3, Dorine M Isaacs 3, Theodore Wright 23.

1930: Elmer C Isaacs 35, Cora Isaacs 36, Garland C Isaacs 12, Dorothy M Isaacs 9, Doris M Isaacs 9, Birchard C Isaacs 2[2 8/12], Edward R Lee 38.

1940: Elmer Isaac 45, Cora Isaac 47, Garland Isaac 27, Birckard Isaac 12.

Elmer farmed his entire life and was a member of the Lutheran church. He died November 6, ​1976​ at Osage, Mitchell, ​Iowa and is buried at the Osage City Ce​me​tery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
