ROBERT E. BROWN
DIED AT STACYVILLE

Funeral services for Robert E. Brown, 93, a long-time Mitchell county resident who died Wednesday, February 24, at the Stacyville Nursing Home, were held Saturday afternoon. Mr. Brown had been a resident of the home for 18 months.

Rev. A. Wegner, pastor of the Congregational church in Orchard, was in charge of the services at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage, and burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery in Mitchell.

Robert Elva Brown was born in Missouri on February 8, 1878, the son of Hiram and Perline Reed Brown. He grew to manhood in Missouri and Oklahoma, coming to Osage as a young man.

Mabel Edna Woodiwiss and Robert Brown were married in Osage on December 23, 1920. They lived in the Osage area and at Lancaster, Missouri, during their married life.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul Nicholson (Clarice) of Orchard, Mrs. Wilbur Schultz (Helen) of Grand Junction, Colorado; one son, Robert Dale Brown of Rubidouz, California; and nine grandchildren.

As the last living member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel; his parents, six brothers and one sister.
