Services for Mrs. Glenn Whitney, 78, of 618 Newton St., will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of Memories West. Mrs. Whitney died Wednesday night at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 29, 1901, in Orchard, daughter of George and Elizabeth Margrish Pfeiffer. She married Frank F. Altenberg Sept. 7, 1918, in Charles City, and he died in 1955. She then married Glenn Whitney May 17, 1958, in Marshalltown.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Elmer of 2542 Manor St.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Leota Renner of 1017 Dawson St., Mrs. John Rooff Jr. of 455 La Porte Road and Mrs. Mildred Laughlin of Long Beach, Calif.; and a stepdaughter Mrs. Leonard Clark of 4932 Fostoria Drive.

Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. Thursday.
