OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral rites will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Champion Funeral Home for Jacob Haberkorn, 71, who died unexpectedly just after midnight Sunday at his farm home near Orchard; burial is to be in the Orchard Cemetery.
Born to Betty and Charles Haberkorn in July, 1883, west of Osage. As a youth he accompanied his parents to a farm east of Osage thence to near Orchard.
He married Laura Huesselman at Osage in 1909; she preceded him in death. He married Catherine Stolenberg of Wisconsin in 1916; she too preceded him in death. He married Mrs. Mary Kubicek at Osage in 1954.
He leaves three children: Myrtle Haberkorn, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Mrs. Birchard Love, in Arizona, and Irvin Haberkorn, Minneapolis; several grandchildren; three brothers: Louis, sheriff of Mitchell County; Will, Osage, and Arthur; three sisters, Mrs. George Salzman, Belle Plaine, Mrs. Martin Berg, Charles City, and Mrs. Etta Snyder, Orchard.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Sam and Henry, and a sister, Lylly.
