OSAGE, IOWA - Maxine E. Pullen, age 86, of Osage, died Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Faith Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Osage with Pastor Sam Mack officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Following the funeral service, cremation will take place and inurnment will be at the Osage Cemetery at a later date.

Maxine E. Pullen, age 86, of Osage, Iowa, died Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Faith Home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Osage with Pastor Sam Mack officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Following the funeral service, cremation will take place and inurnment will be at the Osage Cemetery at a later date.

Maxine was born October 21, 1926, at Jackson, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert and Maud (Kuhn) Froehlich. She married Robert H. Pullen on August 31, 1947, in Estherville, Iowa. She was self-employed at Maxine’s Beauty Shop in Osage. She was a member of the Mitchell County Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and was a circle member at the First United Methodist Church. Maxine enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bowling, camping and traveling.

Maxine is survived by her children, Creta Diane Pullen and Bill Reschke of Bolinas, California, Lee (Patti) Pullen of Helendale, California, Pat (Kenny) Decklever of Maxwell, Steve (Crystal) Pullen of Mentor, Ohio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Burns of Worthington, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert H. Pullen in 2000; and two brothers, Joseph and Alva Froehlich.
