MRS. M. SIMONS,
STACYVILLE WOMAN
DIES AT AGE OF 89Mrs. Michael Simons, 89, died at her home at Stacyville on Sunday, January 17, 1943, after a brief illness. Her husband preceded her in death 30 years ago.
Mrs. Simons was the mother of 11 children. Three daughters died in recent years. They were: Mrs. Tony Neiss, Mrs. Henry Blake, and Mrs. Joe Heimer. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. John E. Brumm, Mrs. Joe Pitzen, Mrs. Tony Halbach, Stacyville; and Sister Mary Pacifica, of Wisconsin; also three sons: Joe Simons of Stacyville, John Simons, of Alaska, and Leo Simons, at home.
Also surviving are 49 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services was held Wednesday morning at Visitation Church. Burial was in the Johnsburg, Minnesota, cemetery.
