St. Ansgar, Iowa — Barbara Jean Wilder, 76, of St. Ansgar died July 18, 2013, at the Stacyville Nursing Home, Stacyville.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, 641-713-4920, www.schroederandsites.com .

Barbara Jean Wilder

St. Ansgar, Iowa — Barbara Jean Wilder, 76, of St. Ansgar, died on July 18, 2013, at the Stacyville Nursing Home, Stacyville, Iowa.

Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Family will received friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

Barbara was born on August 18, 1936, at home in St. Ansgar to Alton (Bud) and Fannie (Faas) Kittleson. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1954.

Barb was united in marriage on June 6, 1954, to Roger Wilder at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. God blessed this union with five children. Barb worked at the local grocery stores for many years; Miller’s Grocery, Fossey’s Market, East End Grocery and The Food Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Wilder; one son, Kevin Wilder; parents, Alton (Bud) and Fannie Kittleson, and one brother Alton Kittleson.

Barb is survived by three daughters: Nancy (Randy) Hackenmiller of Osage, Iowa; Linda (John) Harl of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rebecca (Mike) Dobson of St. Ansgar; one son, Kent Wilder of St. Ansgar; six grandchildren, Molly Hackenmiller, Joe (Maria) Hackenmiller, Jason Hatten, Brittnae Canfield, Nathan Dobson and Alton Dobson; five great-grandchildren, Kimberley, Kenyon and Joey Hackenmiller, Danny and Lily Hatten; many nieces and nephews.
