Osage, Iowa — Ron Rodemaker, age 36, of Osage, Iowa, died Monday, June 17, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with the Rev. Bryan Lagerstam and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Ron was born August 24, 1976, in Osage, the son of Dale and Pat (Schwab) Rodemaker. He graduated from Osage High School in 1994 and attended Hawkeye Community College. On September 30, 2000, Ron married Christina Jeffrey. To this union three children were born.

He worked as a machinist doing metal fabrication and was most recently employed at Cambrex in Charles City. Ron was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his children. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and fishing.

Ron is survived by his children, Riley, Abbi and Brady Rodemaker and their mother, Christina of Osage; his special friend, Addie Kane of Columbia, Mo.; his parents, Dale and Pat Rodemaker of Osage; his sister, Shelley Patterson and her son, Xavier of St. Ansgar; uncles and aunts, Jim (Twyla) Rodemaker of Osage, David (Debbie) Rodemaker of Mason City, David (Kathleen) Schwab of Las Vegas, Nev., Joe (Marilyn) Schwab of Mason City, Bob (Audrey) Schwab of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and Sandy (Tom) Heimer of Forest City; many cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rolland and Lucille Rodemaker; and his maternal grandparents, Adolph and Jean Schwab.

MITCHELL COUNTY, IOWA – According to the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, a single vehicle motorcycle accident happened at 2:30 PM Monday on the 3900 block of Kirkwood Avenue in Mitchell County.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the motorcycle died from his injuries. Authorities have identified 37-year-old Ronnie Rodemaker of Osage as the driver. Assisting the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office at the crash scene was the Iowa State Patrol, Osage Fire Department, Mitchell County Ambulance and the Osage Police Department.
