OSAGE, IOWA — J. W. Clay, 85, died at his home here Friday after a long illness.

He was born in Mitchell County September 15, 1857. He farmed in Floyd County and Mitchell county until 37 years ago, when ho moved to Osage.

Leaves widow, the former Emma Rowe, whom he married March 5, 1884.

Funeral will be 2 p. m. Monday at Champion funeral home; burial in Osage Cemetery.
