Funeral services were held on Monday, December 1, 1986, at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, for Russell J. Simon, age 22, of Kansas City, Missouri, and formerly of Stacyville.
Mr. Simon died Friday, November 28, 1986 at his home. Rev. C. Manternach officiated and burial was in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.
Mr. Simon was the son of Laverne and LuAnn (Eschweiler) Simon of Stacyville. He was born on October 3, 1964 in Osage and was a 1983 graduate of St. Ansgar High School.
He had been employed by Montgomery Wards and the Western Auto Supply in Kansas City since 1984. He also worked for a short time for Klapperich's in McIntire.
Survivors include is parents, Laverne and LuAnn Simon of Stacyville; four sisters: Mrs. Brian (Diana) Reis and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Kuntz, both of Osage, and Donna and Collette, both of Stacyville; three brothers, his twin, Robert of Stacyville, Roger of Adams, Minnesota, and Dale of Albert Lea, Minnesota; maternal grandmother, Lula Eschweiler of Riceville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Christine Simon of Stacyville; two nieces and a nephew.
Hatten and Sons Funeral Home in Stacyville is in charge of arrangements.
