Funeral services were held Monday, September 8, 1986 at Champion Funeral Home in Osage for Helen Hultman, 84, of Osage. Rev. J.B. Jenkins of United Methodist Church of Little Cedar officiated, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Hultman died Friday, September 5, 1986 at her home.
She was born June 23, 1902 in Liberty township in Mitchell County, Iowa, to William and Agnes (Watt) Voaklander. She attended rural grade schools and graduated from Little Cedar High School. She later took normal training at Cedar Valley Seminary in Osage.
Helen taught school in Mitchell County for three years.
On April 22, 1925, she married Arnold Hultman in Osage. They farmed in the Little Cedar area until retiring in 1967 when they moved to Osage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold in 1985, a brother, Clark, and an infant sister.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Francis (Clarice) Nugent of Kirksville, Missouri.
