Military Rites Were
Held For C. Schoenborn.Funeral services were held June 2, 1970, for Clarence (Hence) Schoenborn, 74, of Osage and New Haven, who died at Mitchell County Memorial hospital on May 30, 1970.
He had been a resident of Faith Home in Osage for the past two years. The Rev. Roger R. Rethamel, assistant pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic church was in charge of the services there, and arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons.
Military rites were conducted by the Memorial Squad of American Legion Post 278, at the graveside at St. Peter’s cemetery in New Haven.
Clarence William Schoenborn was born in Wahpeton North Dakota, July 12, 1895, the son of Mathies and Catherine Gilles Schoenborn. He attended the school and grew to manhood at New Haven. He was a veteran of World War I, was a member of Osage American Legion Post 278, and was a lifelong member of the Catholic church.
Surviving are a half-sister, Mrs. Joe Anderson (Frances) of St. Paul; one nephew, Donald Schoenborn of Osage; one niece, Mrs. Irma Eubanks of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ed and a sister Ida.
