Edward Schoenborn was born in Breckenridge Minnesota, on October 16, 1893, and passed away October 28, 1939, at his home in New Haven.

When Edward was a small boy his father passed away, and he moved with his mother to Mitchell county. Later in life, he had a position as a barber in St. Paul. He was united in marriage to Opal Oakes, and to this union were born two children, Donna and Irma.

Mr. Schoenborn has been a patient sufferer for the past ten years, and death came as a relief. He died just four hours after the death of his aunt, Mrs. Peter Gilles.

Surviving are his widow and their two children; also a brother, Clarence, and a half-sister, Mrs. Frances Anderson.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at St. Peter’s church, New Haven, and interment was made in the cemetery nearby. Those present at the funeral from outside the community include: Mrs. Frances Anderson, Mr. Oakes and sons, R.L. and F.J., of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gray, of Canada; Joe Gilles, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Mary, Rudolph, Leo and Ervin Gilles, of Wahpeton, North Dakota; Ray and Harold Gilles, of Pierre, S.D., bedsides numerous relatives from nearby towns.
