Herbert Kingsbury Dodge

December 11, 1872 – April 1950

St. Ansgar – Herbert K. Dodge, died at his home at Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, following an illness of about one year. He was born and raised in St. Ansgar.

He leaves his wife; two children; Homer, Frahningham, Pennsylvania; Mrs. H. G. McClelland, Emsworth, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Annette Holmes, Wilmot, South Dakota; Mrs. Nellie Wilson, Osage; Flossie Dodge, St. Ansgar; one brother, Willard A. Dodge, Fargo, North Dakota.

Herbert Kingsbury Dodge was born December 11, 1872 in St. Ansgar, Mitchell County, Iowa, the son of Arthur Dodge and Mary Elizabeth (Rogers) Dodge.

He married Sarah M Stafford on September 1, 1904, the daughter of George Stafford and Martha Perry. She died May 7, 1911 in Mitchell County, Iowa.

He married Anna M. Mehler on June 24, 1913 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Mehler and Sarah Elizabeth Bristor. Anna Mehler was born September 30, 1878 in New London, Henry County, Iowa and died in March 1969 in Wexford, Alleghany Co., Pennsylvania (Social Security Death Index).

Herbert and Sarah had two children:

Homer Kingsbury Dodge born April 14, 1906, in Iowa; died March 10, 1988, California.

Margaret Elizabeth Dodge, born November 24, 1907; married Howard G. McClelland.
