FUNERAL SERVICES HELD
FOR MRS. HATTIE TIBBETTS

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Hattie Tibbetts, 90, who died at the Falk Nursing Home in Stacyville, Christmas eve. Rev. H. F. Risse was in charge of the services at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage. Burial was in the Mitchell cemetery.

Hattie E. Gillette was born on March 22, 1859, to Elithalet and Elizabeth Emerson Gillette. Her parents were pioneer settlers in Mitchell, where Hattie was born and lived her entire life.

January 6, 1881, she was united in marriage to Oran D. Tibbetts. One daughter was born to this union. They spent their early married life farming near Mitchell, moving there about thirty years ago. She was the first child baptized in the Congregational church at Mitchell, and a lifelong member.

Preceding her in death were her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Hilliard, and a grandson, Oran, in 1919, her husband in November of this year, and brothers, John, George, Harry and Alfred.

She is survived by a brother, Gene, of Washington.
