Gladys Lola Everson, 90, of Alamagordo, N.M. and formerly of Richfield, Minn., died on Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, in Alamagordo, N.M.
Services were on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church of Peace, 6345 Xerxes Ave. S., Richfield. Interment was in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Gladys was born on Feb, 9, 1914, in Pochahontas, Iowa, to N.A. and Lola Anderson. She graduated from Paynesville High School in 1932.
Gladys and Jacob Everson were married on March 2, 1933, in Hawick. They lived in the Hawick area until 1952 when they moved to Minneapolis.
Gladys worked at the catalog department at Sears, then in the office for Heyman Distributing and later the credit office at J.C. Penney until her retirement.
After the death of her husband Jacob in 1998, she moved to New Mexico to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Larry Longley.
She spent many hours sewing and knitting items for her family and also enjoyed reading.
Gladys is survived by three daughters, Delores (John) Pfau of Mankato, Dorothy (Dick) Anderson and Shirley (Larry) Longley, both of Alamagordo, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Harold Anderson and a sister, Blanche Smith, both of Riceville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Evelyn Blossey and Buelah Wood; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

In 1930 the family was living in Minnesota and in 1940 the family was living in Jamestown, Howard, Iowa
Her parents Neut Anderson and Lola (Landmesser) Anderson Noble , a brother Harold and at least one sister Blanche Smith buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Iowa
