NIGHT AT HIS HOMEArthur Boekemeier, 69, died suddenly Wednesday night at his home near Osage, of a heart attack. He had not been ill. Mr. Boekemeier spent his entire life in FLoyd and Mitchell counties.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, William and Oliver of Osage, and one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Elsberry of Minneapolis.
Mr. Boekemeier's obituary will be in next week's Press-News.

ARTHUR BOEKEMEIER
WERE HELD SATURDAYFuneral services for Arthur Boekemeier, 70, were held Saturday morning, October 8, 1949, at Sacred Heart Church in Osage. Rev. Fr. T. Conroy officiated, and burial was made in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mr. Boekemeier died suddenly Wednesday evening, October 5, 1949, at his home near Osage, of a heart attack.
Arthur C. Boekemeier was born on October 12, 1879, at Roseville, the son of Christian and Louisa Boekemeier. He was united in marriage to Anna Kingfield on January 16, 1908, and six children were born to this union.
The Boekemeiers lived at Roseville until 1928 when they moved to a farm near Charles City. Later they moved near Orchard and Little Cedar and in 1945 they moved near Osage.
Surviving are his wife: two sons, William at home and O.H. of Osage; a daughter, Mrs. Eldy Elsberry of Minneapolis; six grandchidlren; three sisters: Mrs. Lou Ackenbach and Emma Boekemeier of Charles City, and Mrs. Lydia Franke of northern Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence; two daughters, Mary and Mrs. Gertrude Covey; a brother, William; and three sisters: Louise, Martha and Mrs. Charles Lines.
