Funeral services for Clarence DeGeeter, 51, of Aurora, Illinois, and formerly of Mitchell county, were held on September 19, in Aurora. He died September 16 of a heart attack.

Clarence DeGeeter was born on February 14, 1898, in Blackhawk county, Iowa, to Alphonse and Elizabeth Heinz DeGeeter. He lived there a few years and then moved to a farm near Austin, Minnesota. In 1919 they moved to a farm near New Haven, in Mitchell county, Iowa.

He went to Aurora as a young man and married an Aurora girl. They lived in Chicago a while and then returned to Aurora where he was a landscaper in late years.

Surviving are his wife and five sons: Dean, Dale, Darrell, Bob, and Albert. There are also three sisters: Mrs. Lester Schweiger of Osage, Mrs. Agnes Hartman of Chicago, and Mrs. William Hartkopp of Aurora; and three brothers: Joseph of Los Angeles, California, Scrial of Bancroft, and Bill of West Chicago.
