OSAGE, IOWA — Bernard Lubbert, 89, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday February 1, 2013 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville with the Rev. Michael Parris officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.
Friends may call two hours before services at the funeral home.

Birth date: February 21, 1923
Death date: January 29, 2013Bernard was born February 21, 1923, son of Harry-O and Augusta Lebow Lubbert on the family farm near Riceville, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Adeline Wallace on November 13, 1943 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Bernard was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He was a farmer, worked at White Farm in Charles City, Iowa, owned BA Drive-In for nine years, and refurbished tractors.
Survivors include his daughter Marlys and her husband Fred Bartels, her son Wayne and his wife Betty, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2011 and his grandson, Trent Bartels in 1998.

Visitation: Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Service: Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, Iowa.
Cemetery: Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa.
