Ottilie (Wilke) Feldt – April 17, 1857 – February 22, 1953

RITES AT ST. ANSGAR FOR MRS. FELDT, 95
St. Ansgar – Funeral services for Mrs. Ottilie Feldt, 95, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran church, the Rev. H. C. Wolters officiating. Burial will be in the Carpenter cemetery. She died Sunday at the George Glassel home in St. Ansgar.
Mrs. Feldt was born in Germany, April 17, 1857. She came with her parents in 1878, settled near Mitchell and later moved to a farm near Carpenter. She was married to Ferdinand Feldt in 1882.
They lived on a farm near Carpenter until 1920 when they moved to St. Ansgar. Mr. Feldt died in 1929 and Mrs. Feldt had since lived with her children.
Survivors are sons Gustave and Robert of St. Ansgar; and daughters; Mrs. Fred Dieterich and Mrs. George Glassel, of St. Ansgar; and Mrs. Ella Bullis of Orville, California; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister; Mrs. Matilda Winter of Los Angeles, California.

Ottilie Wilke was born April 17,1857 in Germany, the daughter of Friedrich and Frederika (Radunsel) Wilke.
She married Ferdinand Feldt, the son of Michael Feldt and Caroline (Brunk) Feldt.
(parents names from the 1925 Iowa Census)
*note Ferdinand Feldt didn’t die in 1929 as the obit says, he died in 1933.
